Who we are looking for
Calvary Church is praying for God to provide its next pastor. This man will model a strong walk with Christ, a clear calling to pastoral ministry, and be a ministry generalist who is able to navigate and develop a "bedroom community" church ministry. We desire for him to bring strengths in the areas of preaching/teaching, pastoral care, communications, and relational outreach to younger families. Though this position will begin as part-time, we desire to release our pastor with full-time compensation as soon as possible. Calvary is a Great Commission-oriented church, so it is important that its pastor leads us with an outreach orientation while being personally connected to the community, mission efforts, and broader denominational district. Interestingly, "Wa-hoo" is a word from the native Sioux language that means burning bush. Many new people have been moving into the community of Wahoo. Calvary is a church with a core group of faithful believers that wants to reach these people and is praying for a pastor to lead them. Could this be a "burning bush" moment for you?
